This Handmade Roman Lorica Squamata is a historically inspired Roman scale body armor, crafted with a striking combination of natural brass scales and tinned brass scales. The mixed-scale finish creates a distinctive, battle-worn Roman appearance while preserving historical character.
The armor is a two-part construction, consisting of a full torso armor with an additional reinforced shoulder doubler, providing enhanced coverage and authenticity. Hundreds of overlapping scales are meticulously stitched onto a thick cotton fabric backing, offering both flexibility and durability.
Finished with stitched brown leather edging, this Lorica Squamata has a strong structural frame and a refined historical look. It is fully adjustable using brass side buckles and leather laces, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit for reenactment or display.
